MIZUNO
Direction: yurika moment
(2:37 | Japan, 2025)
Even dreams she thought she'd let go of long ago still burns within her, transformed.
On a languid summer afternoon, the girl found the pointe shoes sleeping in a dresser drawer within her dream and picked them up. She had only meant to try them on absentmindedly, but as her body naturally began stepping, the girl's closed heart slowly opened.
Through the movement, she remembered herself living in the present moment.Though she had thought the dream vanished, it had been quietly, surely alive within her all along.

WITHIN ME
Direction and Choreography: Makayla Dell Allman
(3:21 | DMV Artist, USA, 2025)
A debut exploration of digital mixed-media animation and stop-motion, viewed through the lens of nostalgia, longing, and self-connection.

BLOOM
Direction: Salma Kattass
(2:09 | USA, 2025)
Bloom reflects on the search for fulfillment and the illusion of something missing. Through layered bodies and a shifting threshold, the film blurs the boundary between presence and absence, self and other. What appears divided slowly reveals itself as whole. Bloom suggests that what we seek beyond ourselves is often already there—waiting to be recognized.

FANTASMA

(4:00 | USA, 2025)
Set in the fleeting twilight before its day.
Inviting both legend and future generation.
Within the silent desert…
FANTASMA is an experimental performance weaving together movement, fashion, music, and landscape into a sweeping cinematic experience. The work honors the enduring artistry and cultural legacy of New Mexico.

ASSEMBLED WORLDS
Direction and Choreography: Kaja Vidič
(16:28 | Slovenia, 2026)
'Assembled Worlds' is a short dance film conceived with the idea of montage of different worlds - both personal and cultural. The central thematic element of the film is water, which can be understood in nature as a medium for connecting different worlds, people, and cultures. This symbolism is reflected in the choice of scenography, as the film was shot at various sites along the Soča River, which connects Nova Gorica in Slovenia and Gorizia in Italy, the two cities of the European Borderless Capital of Culture 2025. However, water in the film does not appear only as a symbol of connection. It also represents the origin of life, broadening the film into an existential reflection. It poses questions to the viewer about our relationship with nature and how we treat it.

UNE IMMENSE ESPÉRANCE
Direction: Meghan Letizia
(00:48 | DMV Artist, USA, 2026)
This micro-short was created with selected camcorder footage over the course of one year, created in honor of how dance shows up in both our momentous and everyday moments. The reflection on these moments exists within a greater enduring reflection on universal curiosity, trust, hope, and resilience, as well as an expression of gratitude and love for the people within it.
